In the before. I'd taken the armrests off by this point, the rips also were me seeing how bad the foam padding was and whether I needed to add to it or wholsale replace it (verdict: bad, replace). The stains however, nothing to do with me!
Taking it all apart was fairly straight forward, some of the screws had been poorly put in and were jammed. Also removing all these staples to get the fabric and padding off: huge chore.
Nice pile of chair to get going with. The yellow squares are the new padding I bought, ready to be cut down to shape.
